Week 1 completed

January 17, 2009 at 2:18 pm (Workout)

As some of you may know, I decided to take the 100 push ups and 200 sit-ups challenge. About a week ago, Jeff showed me this website of how I was able to do 100 push ups and 200 sit-ups in six weeks. I checked out and looked interesting, so I decided to try it seeing I needed to gain strength anyways. Three times a week, I would follow this daily schedule of doing sets of push ups and sit-ups. According to the initial test, I was recommended to start on week 3 for push ups, so I decided to start on week 3. I found out its a lot harder and I’m already doing 100 push ups but divided into 5 sets. The sit-ups however doesn’t seem as hard so far.

For week 3 I had to follow this plan:

weekthreepushups

The last day of the week seem to be the hardest for me with my muscles throbbing in pain barely being able to move around.

For the first week of sit-ups, I had to follow this plan:

weekonesitups1

The sit-ups weren’t hard at all for me for some reason. I might’ve done my initial test wrong and should’ve started on week 3, but I guess its best to start slow. Slow and steady wins the race. Kind of wishing I started slow on the push-ups though. The first week is done and I have Saturday and Sunday to fully recover for the next intense set.

Day 2

January 13, 2009 at 6:55 pm (Biking, Workout)

The distance was a bit shorter but biked to Isabelle’s house and Khiem’s house from Jeff’s house. First went to Isabelle figuring I could chill at Khiem’s house longer and Isabelle had to go out. Was going to go to Kevin’s house after Khiems at around 3:30pm, but I guess Khiem was still sleeping and didn’t respond to his phone, even when I got there. If you notice on the video of me biking to Khiem’s house, I start to slow down. That was from the steep hill I had to bike up to get to his house.

I decided to bike back to Jeff’s house and head home since I didn’t have anywhere else to go. Also thanks for the meal Isabelle and thanks Jeff for the dropoff point for my bike.

Day 1

January 12, 2009 at 2:41 pm (Biking, Workout)

Today was the first day of my biking adventure. It seemed pretty short, but at least it was a success. It took about 15 minutes to bike from my house to Jeff’s house. I guess you can say i finished the “level 1” stage of the biking adventure and finish the rest of the stages on the next day or so on.

At some point of the trail, I may have experience a problem of dropping the camera, so it slowed me down a bit.

Planned Daily Schedule

January 10, 2009 at 6:53 pm (Schedule, Workout)

School is about to start and I feel I need to do something on a daily basis. So I decided to make a schedule plan I will try to follow everyday. Hopefully I can start early Monday morning and keep it up till school starts.

  • Wake up 8:00 am
  • Jogging for 20 to 60 minutes
  • If not jogging, start the biking adventure to either different areas or friend’s houses
  • Practice Piano for an hour
  • Practice Kendo for 30 to 60 minutes
  • Read for about an hour or two
  • Bass warm ups and practice for 30 to 60 mintues.
  • 50 to 100 push ups
  • 100+ sit ups
  • Create/work on photoshopping
  • Eat three meals a day
  • Meditate 10 to 30 minutes

Also I plan to keep record of these making what I’ve done and what I haven’t done on an excel spreadsheet. For some days (maybe 1-3 times a week), I will be going to the SJSU workout area if its open. Some of these might be reduced when school starts, but I’d probably see how it works out.

Broken Again?!

January 8, 2009 at 4:24 pm (Games)

So happens my rock band pedal breaks again. The difference is its not at the same spot, but on the side of the pedal as shown on the picture below.

The wooden piece used to keep the pedal together did work, just so happens another part of the pedal breaks. So as of now, I’m using the spare pedal tehy sent in, but that probably won’t last long…
